THE PRODUCTS
WHICH ONE DO I ACTUALLY NEED?
There are three, and they do different jobs. The Graphic Designers' Playbook is the physical book — pen on paper, for thinking and mapping. The Creatives' Digital Planner 2027 is a dated 478-page hyperlinked PDF you write in on a tablet. The Studio Desk is the business side — quotes, clients, projects, finances, plus the AI tools. Planner for your head. Desk for your business. Use one, use all three.
IS THE DIGITAL PLANNER THE SAME AS THE PHYSICAL PLAYBOOK?
No. Different products, different jobs. The Playbook is a printed book you can hold. The Digital Planner is a dated 2027 file for your tablet, with hyperlinks and Add to Calendar. Buying one doesn't include the other.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE EXPRESSION AND MINIMAL EDITIONS?
Only the look. Expression gives you eight covers in warm off-whites and soft colour — a little more playful. Minimal gives you two covers in black, grey and warm off-white with clean sans-serif type. The planning pages, links, Add to Calendar, stickers and guides are identical.
WILL I RECEIVE BOTH PLANNER EDITIONS?
No. You'll receive the edition selected at checkout. Same content and features — only the visual style changes.
IS THIS A PHYSICAL PLANNER?
No. The Digital Planner is a digital product. You'll receive downloadable files after payment, and nothing is shipped.
IS THE PLANNER DATED?
Yes — January to December 2027, with dated daily pages and an hourly schedule from 06:00 to 21:00. It's built for that year specifically.
ARE THE DIGITAL STICKERS INCLUDED?
Yes. You'll receive the Kunshuis Digital Sticker Pack as individual transparent PNG files in a ZIP folder. Import them, move them, resize them, reuse them as often as you like.
DO I NEED GOODNOTES?
No. Goodnotes is a popular option and the guides use it for the main examples, but this is a hyperlinked PDF — not a Goodnotes-only product. Noteshelf, Xodo, Acrobat or any PDF app that supports links and annotation will work.
WILL IT WORK ON MY DEVICE?
Tablet, phone or computer — though a tablet and stylus give you the most paper-like experience. Goodnotes and other PDF apps are separate products and aren't included, and no tablet, stylus or physical planner comes with it.
HOW DOES ADD TO CALENDAR WORK?
Tap Add to Calendar on any daily page and the Kunshuis Calendar Companion opens with the right date already selected. You type the title, time and notes, then send it to Google, Apple or Outlook. Apple Reminders uses the free Kunshuis Shortcut. The honest bit: the date travels, your handwriting doesn't. There's no background sync, and I never see your event details.
CAN I PRINT THE PLANNER?
You may print pages for your own personal use, but the hyperlinks, navigation and Add to Calendar only work digitally.
CAN I SHARE THE FILES WITH A FRIEND OR MY TEAM?
No — the planner and sticker pack are licensed for one person's personal use. Please don't share, resell, copy or distribute the files. If someone on your team wants one, send them a gift card instead.

WHAT IS THE STUDIO DESK, EXACTLY?
It's the system that runs the business side of your studio — the bit design school skipped. Projects, clients, briefs, quotes, invoices, money coming in and going out, all in one place instead of five apps and your own memory. Built from 22 years of doing it the hard way so you don't have to.
DO I NEED NOTION OR ANY OTHER APP?
No. The Desk runs in your browser — nothing to install, no separate account to set up, no template to duplicate into somewhere else. You open it and it's there.
IS IT A SUBSCRIPTION?
No. One-time purchase, yours for life. No monthly fees, no renewals, no surprise price hikes in a year.
WHAT ARE THE 12 AI TOOLS?
They handle the writing and thinking-out-loud parts of running a studio — the emails you keep rewriting, the brief you're staring at, the quote you're avoiding. They speed you up. They don't design for you, and the work stays yours.
DO I NEED TO PAY FOR CHATGPT OR ANYTHING ELSE TO USE THEM?
No. The AI tools are built in and included in the one-time price.
I'M NOT TECHY. WILL I COPE?
Yes. There's a welcome tour that walks you through it the first time you open it, and the onboarding checklist ticks itself off as you go — so you're not staring at a blank screen wondering what you're meant to do. And I'm one email away.
CAN I USE IT WITH MY CLIENTS?
That's the point. The client side is built for them — brief, updates, the lot — so working with you feels organised rather than held together with email threads.
ORDERING, PAYMENT & SHIPPING
WHERE IS KUNSHUIS BASED?
Windhoek, Namibia — a beautiful country in Southern Africa where quality of life flows freely and design meets life. I've worked with wonderful international clients from right here.
IS IT SAFE TO ORDER FROM NAMIBIA?
Yes. Orders are processed securely through trusted payment systems like Paygate. And I run this studio myself, so if anything ever feels off, you're emailing me — not a call centre.
WHAT CURRENCY ARE PRICES IN?
All orders are processed in Namibian Dollar (NAD). Your bank handles the exchange automatically at checkout, and international buyers often find the rate works nicely in their favour.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes — I ship from Namibia worldwide. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location, and tracking is provided. Digital products aren't shipped at all; they land in your inbox.
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?
Digital downloads are instant once payment clears. Physical orders usually ship within 3–4 business days — during Launch Days, Black Friday and the festive rush it can stretch to about a week to get your parcel moving. After that, we're in the carrier's hands.
CAN I BUY THE PLAYBOOK IN A SHOP?
Yes — the Graphic Designers' Playbook is stocked at Exclusive Books in Windhoek if you'd rather hold it before you buy.
WHAT IF MY ADDRESS IS WRONG?
Please double-check it before you check out. I'm not able to cover address errors, and if a parcel comes back to me because the address was wrong, you'll need to cover the cost of resending it.
MY ORDER ARRIVED DAMAGED. WHAT NOW?
Email hello@kunshuis.com as soon as you can. Once a parcel leaves the studio it's with the carrier, and I can't control how it's handled — but I'll help you sort it out.
DOWNLOADS, REFUNDS & SUPPORT
WHERE DO MY DOWNLOADS GO?
You'll get a secure download link by email and on the order-confirmation page once payment is confirmed. The link works for a limited number of downloads, so save an untouched backup somewhere safe.
MY LINK EXPIRED OR STOPPED WORKING.
Email hello@kunshuis.com and I'll help. You won't lose access to something you've paid for.
CAN I GET A REFUND?
All digital sales are final — once the files are delivered, they're delivered. For physical products I don't offer returns either, unless I sent you the wrong thing. In that case email me within seven days of receiving it and I'll gladly put it right. Please get in touch before sending anything back; unsolicited returns aren't eligible for refunds or credits. Bought through another store? Please contact them directly.
Is it safe to order from Namibia?

Yes. These were made with creatives in mind, but they work for anyone who wants more clarity, structure and inspiration in their work and life. Most of my community isn't "designer by title."
